Hey yall! The Renegade Artists are proudly opening a gallery at 211 Cleave Street in Estes Park CO. We will be open on May 1,2007 Thursday until Mondays. 10-4pm
Make an appointment for consideration. We promote and encourage Abstract and Contemporary Art in Northern Colorado. We encourage professional and emerging artists.
We will be part of the seasonal Art Walks in our area. Come see whats going on!

Studio Walk

"Points of Light" Show

Our name in lights!!
Congratulations to the Renegade Artist's Group who opened an awesome show at the Holiday Inn Conference Center in Estes Park, Colorado. The show is projected to be seen by 30,000 people from July2, to September 10, 2006. We will hope for even more! 25 artists are participating with over 80 works of art in all media. We were also proud to present sculpture in iron, pottery, granite and found objects.
It is our largest and most successful show to date. The opening provided food, music and lots of entertainment provided by the artists attending!
Again, Congratulations to all on a JOB WELL DONE!!

Renegade Artists in Black and White

The Renegade Artists Group is presenting a summer show of Black and White. The exhibition is being held at the Estes Park Public Library, second floor, through the month of June. Media presented are acrylic on canvas, photography and prints. In keeping with the black and white theme is the photo shown here, "Man's Invasion on the Elk" by Sandra Coker.

CSU Fort Collins, CO

A small group of Renegades got together and put up a show at Directions Gallery at CSU in Fort Collins, CO. It is a smal venue, but very dramatic with it's lighting. This is the faculty gallery and will be seen mostly by proffessors of Art and their students.

Renegade Workshop

Co-Founder Marina Asbury works a new medium, charcoal at the Renegade Artists Charcoal Drawing Workshop February 18. Marina's medium is usually Contemporary Photography. The facilitator was member Patrice Sullivan, Professor of Art at Colorado State University. Members were invited to attend and a good turnout was enjoyed. Many different types of charcoal were demonstrated as well as paper.
A reminder here to drop your art off for our Library Small Works Show "Sitting on Saturn." Tuesday Feb 28th 10am-12pm.

Planning Meeting

Greetings and salutations to all! We will be enjoying lunch and a meeting at Notchtop Bakery and Cafe Saturday January 28th @ 1:00 pm. We are planning our spring and summer shows so all are welcome. The results of that meeting will be posted here if you just can't make it! (and miss all the fun and laughter) We have some exciting plans to discuss. So see ya there!

This exciting piece of work won an award this summer at the Fort Collins, CO Studio Walk. Highly creative, Michael had a good summer with the Renegade Artists Group, we enjoyed his work and sold some of it!
Our show committe has reported two new locations for shows this summer. We are pleased and proud to be invited to both of them. Watch for further details.

Fractured Shards...

Our opening of "So this is Christmas?" was a huge success! About one hundred people showed up to view the outstanding work, listen to the jazz music and enjoy Ron's creative appetizers. (Some I have not figured out yet?) Everyone had a great time in spite of the rather nasty weather. The snow added to the Christmasy feeling.
This assemblage can be viewed at the show. It is by Tess Moore. The title: "Fractured Shards of Life Create One Beautiful Picture." Come see the show! Notchtop's hours are daily 7 until 2.

Hey! The Renegades are getting ready for their holiday show. We got location! Come see what we are all about at the Notchtop Bakery and Cafe in Estes Park, CO. (the gallery that serves food!) Our show--"So This is Christmas (?)" will be exhibited from November 23, 2005-January 2, 2006. This is a membership only show.

We're gonna have a party! Meet the artists at our public invited Christmas party December 1, 2005 from 6-9pm. Catered by Notchtop, it promises to be an event!

Gallery hours are 7am (yes, you read right) to 2:30 pm. Well, we don't want to be 'ordinary' do we??

Reindeer Works Here

Reindeer is an inovative, exciting digital photographer with the Renegades. "Reindeer Works Here" proclaimed his one-man-show on the upper floor of our Virginia Ave show. Multi-talented, Reindeer plays guitar and can recite poetry on the spot. His photography is sensual, colorful and controversial.

This is one of the spaces our group has inhabited...we stayed here over the summer. We are a "roving gallery" and like to move around. We feel like that keeps us from getting stale. We are currently scouting out a new space for the holidays.
